Between 1985 & 1988 over 30,000 South Africans protesting against Apartheid, were detained without trial. Taken. Between 1995 & 1997 thousands tell their story as part of the South African Truth and Reconciliation commission.
Between 1869 to 1969 over 100,000 Australian Aboriginal children were taken from their families. In 1997, a national enquiry was set up to investigate. A 700 page report details only 777 cases.
Between 1976 to 1982 thousands go missing in Argentina. The National Commission on the Disappearance of Persons is set up in 1983 to investigate. A 50,000 page report is condensed into a book and published under the title Nunca Mas. It becomes a bestseller.
In Other Words weaves through these three countries exploring the parallels between those who tell their stories and those who don't. Evocative, timely and unique, part theatre, part installation, this is a show which will leave you without words.

AUDIENCE COMMENTS
“Beautiful…and painful… terrible and latent memories…. Soft and profound images… congratulations!” – Florencia Firpo
“A very beautiful experience. Congratulations.” – Marcelo Marcellini
“The performance engages the spectator in a very real way that makes one live the drama…” – Chama
“A play that reminds us that we must not forget.” – Jose Luis Ferrero
“…the text is excellent, and the entire staging is amazing… Loved the pictures and the place is just perfect… thanks for sharing this with us.” - Nicolás Fernández Bravo.

“Great images, those silences, those faces…” La Manzana Amarilla
“I loved it. Keep on like this.” - Ines
“The story, the image, what is said, what is lived, we need to speak about this but words alone, without images, don’t transmit everything. I feel that you were there and that these stories are also yours.” – Carolina
“We appreciate the intensity. A present with memory assures us of a future that is on the right track. Here’s to peace, our own and that of everyone else. Thank you.” – Alejandro.
“An excellent play and very profound reflection.” – Julieta Terrile
“Thank you for coming. This night will stay in my memory.” – Jacqueline
“Thank you very much for the memory. The pain of the world, of those who were tortured, those who were kidnapped and who disappeared will always be present in our memory so that we can make a better world.” – Ana Armacé
“Thank you for this kind of theatre. In my opinion, theatre is not entertainment; it is an obligation and a social action. Remembering is an uncomfortable but fundamental exercise for the identity of all humans. Thank you for coming to Argentina to show us your art.” - Rodrigo Serrano Gonsebatt
“Thank you for making us remember and for bringing us your art.” – Anonymous
“EXCELLENT, thank you for the poetry.” – Dinah Schonhaut
“I really liked the play. It strives to remember the difficult times that many nations have lived through whilst also promoting the idea of constructing a world where peace and justice prevail.” – Nengumbi Celestin Sukara (Congo)
“I loved it! I really felt like I was in the story. Bringing the three stories together is very powerful and a strong reminder to remember. It’s been amazing! Great performances.” – Sol L´Episcopo
“I loved it. I am from Colombia. I really enjoyed your art, your story, and your way of telling it. Congratulations!” – Jonathan.
